Screw Compressor, Chiller & Blower

What it is

A complete rebuild/restoration to return major rotating equipment to as-new performance—addressing wear, sealing, alignment, and efficiency issues.

When it’s needed

  • Rising discharge temp, power draw, or noise/vibration

  • Frequent trips/alarms; oil carryover; poor pressure/flow

  • Excessive ΔT/ΔP on chiller heat exchangers; poor cooling capacity

  • Visible wear, leaks, or hours exceeded for major service

A) Screw Air Compressor (Airend) Overhaul

  • LOTO, incoming inspection, baseline data (amps, temps, pressure).

  • Disassembly of airend & auxiliaries; cleaning and dimensional checks.

  • Re-bearing, shaft-seal replacement, journals/bores inspection.

  • Rotor clearance setting; profile inspection; end-float verification.

  • Wear part renewal (gaskets, O-rings, valves as required).

  • Cooler cleaning, oil circuit flush; replace filters & separator.

  • Reassembly; alignment (coupling/belt tension).

  • Run test at load, leak check, ΔP/temperature trend, controller setpoints.
    Deliverables: Overhaul report, parts list, run-test data, limited warranty.
    Options: Dynamic balancing, heat-recovery kit, vibration baseline, oil analysis.

B) Chiller Overhaul (Refrigeration System)

Scope (typical):

  • Refrigerant recovery (per regulation) and system open-up.

  • Compressor inspection/overhaul or replacement per OEM spec.

  • Heat-exchanger cleaning (chemical/mechanical), tube leak test.

  • Replace filter-drier, sight glass; TXV/EEV calibration.

  • Evacuation (deep vacuum), dehydration, recharge by weight/subcool.

  • Electrical/control panel inspection; sensor & safety calibration.

  • Pump/flow verification; insulation & condensate management.
    Deliverables: Pressure/temperature log, superheat/subcool data, leak-test record, warranty.
    Options: Glycol conversion, VSD on pumps/fans, water-treatment program.

C) Blower Overhaul (Roots/Turbo as applicable)

Scope (typical):

  • Casing/impeller inspection, clearance check; rotor timing (Roots).

  • Bearing & seal replacement; gearbox inspection (if fitted).

  • Lube system flush, filter replacement; alignment/belt tension.

  • Dynamic balancing (turbo/impeller), run-in & performance check.
    Deliverables: Clearance sheet, balancing report, run curve, warranty.
